It is claimed that Eleutherococcus decreases cortisol levels when it is too high. This is very important in our current high-stress culture where the body’s stress response is activated so often that the body doesn’t always have even a chance to return to normal. And therefore plenty of people suffer from hyperglycemia, chronic fatigue syndrome, high blood pressure, depression, low immunity and impairing mental and physical performance as a result of high cortisol level. Therefore, Eleuterococcus with its influence on cortisol level is very useful for treating all those problems and also mild forms of diabetes as it lowers sugar level as well. It relieves the exhaustion and muscle pain associated with these energy-depleting conditions.

It rises low blood pressure, supplies organs, mainly brain and heart with blood and improves mood, rises spirits, enhances brain functions and ability to memorize. Eleuthero also clears cold hands-and-feet syndrome away as well as depression. It cheers up and stimulates even more than Panax ginseng! It increase mental performance and physical working capacity with no side-effects. Eleuterococcus has been proved to improve mental and social functioning of elderly people with Alzheimer´s disease mainly because of its ability to boost the transmission of nerve impulses.

Siberian ginseng-eleuthero also enhances immune system, increases T-lymphocytes, so it helps immune system to fight with infections, bacteria and takes down inflammatory response. It is highly recommended for treating all types of respiratory track infections. Eleutherococcus helps boost people´s cellular immunity especially after chemotherapy. It helps to rehabilitate cancer patients, recovery is much faster and easier.

Eleuteroccocus might be very efficient by treating fertility and reducing male impotence. It supports healthy uterine function, tones the large uterine muscle and positively affects hormone levels. Therefore, it helps relieve from menopausal and menstrual difficulties such as hot flashes and chills.
