Known history of black cumin oil dates back to more than 3000 years ago. It also became popular thanks to the mention in the Quran (the Prophet Muhammad called him "the remedy for all diseases except death"), and then, thanks to the scientific works of Avicenna, who claimed that "black cumin helps people sick from the disease, healthy to the sap of vitality".
The Black oil contains more than 100 different components, of which 50 are involved in metabolic processes. The Black cumin oil contains unsaturated fatty acids, phospholipids, 15 amino acids (8 of which are vital for the body), carotenoids, vitamins E, D, C, B-group vitamins, various macro and micronutrients.
The oil well heals wounds, due to a high content of carotenoids (especially vitamin A, which acts as an antioxidant). It also acts as a natural antibiotic. Thanks to a significant content of phytosterols (phytohormones), the oil has antibacterial and immunostimulatory effects.
For the heart and blood vessels, the oil is absolutely invaluable. Its complex effects on the cardiovascular system thanks to the right mutual ratio of unsaturated omega-6 and omega-9 acids, phytosterols, flavonoids and vitamins contributes to strengthening the walls of blood vessels, lowers blood cholesterol, prevents the formation of dangerous blood clots and atherosclerotic plaques.
