Effective oil with Burdock Root Extract and Propolis is used for dry, brittle and damaged hair, nourishes hair roots, softens hair skin, gives hair softness and velvet outlook. It combines an immediate relieving effect with nutritional support of normal functions of sebaceous glands and hair follicles.
Propolis is a sticky substance secreted from the bark and buds of trees (especially poplars) to protect the tree bud from environmental hazards such as moulds, fungi, and bacteria. Bees protect their hives from the same kind of dangers by collecting tree propolis. The bees mix the tree propolis with equivalent amounts of their salivary secretions and use the resultant "bee propolis" to coat the internal structure of their combs – rendering the interior of the hive one of the most sterile environments found in nature. Insects that find their way into the hive are coated with propolis – this has a preserving / mummifying effect, hence preventing bacterial or other contagion within the crowded hive.
Aside from being used for hair treatment, burdock root oil is also used for chronic skin ailments, symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer prevention. Burdock root is helpful in treating various skin diseases, boils, inflammations, hepatitis, certain cancers, swollen glands, fluid retention, and fever. Eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis which cause dry and scaly skin can be treated with burdock root oil.
