Russian thistle (Salsolae collinae) also called Saltwort or Tartar thistle is a special herb growing in Siberia, Baikal and Altai growing on dry and saline soils. It contains aminoacid, flavonoids, glykosides and vitamines. Thistle herb has positive effect on metabolism and liver function, lowers cholesterol and sugar level in blood and it is used as a fat-burner for weight loss.
Preparation: Pour 250 ml boiling water over the two spoons of Russian thistle tea leaves and let steep for 20-30 minutes. Then pour out tea with a strainer to catch any tea leaves and drink 2-4 times a day during meal.
